Silent Meditation Retreat
This course is designed to give participants a taste of a silent meditation retreat. It will go over meditation in all its forms: sitting, walking, lying down, and even dancing and moving! There will be detailed instruction for each meditation session, along with a dharma talk (lecture on the spiritual teachings of Buddhism), time for contemplation, and group sharing. This is a great course to take after the Intro to Buddhism course, as this is the experiential aspect of the teachings we went over in our class.

A Guide to Becoming a Peaceful Warrior
Join Lisa and Mark for this three-part series on how to become a peaceful warrior!
Class 1: Imperfectly Perfect:
How to use your so-called imperfections to your advantage:
The path of understanding the Dao is simply accepting yourself. Live life and discover who you are. Your nature is ever changing and is always the same.
Class 2: Is Your Biggest Difficulty Your Greatest Treasure?
Maybe your challenges are really opportunities:
Don’t try to resolve the various contradictions in life, instead learn acceptance of your nature.
The little bits of imperfection we each have are elements of chaos that give each person individuality and distinction. Without our little flaws we wouldn’t be individuals at all. here are over 7 billion people in the world. This means over 7 billion paths to Taoism! Every aspect of ourselves can teach us something.
Class 3: It's the Journey...
Value the process over the results:
Be attentive to information that could help you expand your existing knowledge and skill, regardless of whether you get the question right or wrong. Your priority is learning, not the dualistic trap of success and failure.
When: Friday September 29, October 27, & November 24
Cost: $20/class OR $45 for all three classes (no refunds)
